Recent Girdwood vacation rental reviews

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful classic A-frame, hidden away in the woods in a quiet and lovely part of town, right under Mount Alyeska with the view of the slopes and other mountains. (Street was also dark enough to see the aurora) I walked to the slopes in 15mins but it’s only a 4min drive to the parking lot. Bird singing in the morning. Kitchen was fully setup, beds amazing, hot tub steaming, and sauna was the best bonus! Can’t wait to stay here again ☺️

Amazing rental! I loved how it was not over-commercialized as an "air bnb" with all of the typical labeling and numerous rules. It had all of the amenities and comforts of a home. Could not recommend this place enough! Was a great place for a weekend getaway with the family!

Where is Girdwood?

This town’s action revolves around the Alyeska Ski Resort, and our Girdwood rentals give guests easy access to the best of Alyeska. With Anchorage’s city center just under 40 miles away, Girdwood feels much more secluded than it is. It’s just a short drive to Whittier, a hub for many of the area’s best glacier tours and other boat activities in the Prince William Sound.

Things to do in Girdwood

The Girdwood area offers something for visitors in every season. Winter guests can take advantage of Alyeska Ski Resort’s majestic slopes, and the Alyeska Aerial Tram is just as worthwhile for the scenery as it is for skiing. Keep an eye out for moose, bears, elk, foxes, bald eagles, and more at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center a few miles down the road. If you’re looking for a family-friendly hike, Virgin Falls is a quick and easy walk to a moss-covered waterfall. Girdwood also provides plenty of opportunities for fishing, biking, and other outdoor adventures.

Visit one of our Girdwood cabin rentals for a taste of Alaska’s glory. Whether you’re here for a winter ski trip or a summer glacier tour, you won’t be disappointed in a Girdwood vacation.
